Electrical Cable Codes & Nomenclatures || বৈদ্যুতিক তার তথা ক্যাবলের কোড এবং নোমেনক্লেচারঃ

আমরা যারা ইলেকট্রিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ার বা কর্মক্ষেত্রে ইলেকট্রিক্যাল বিষয় গুলো নিয়ে কাজ করি, বিশেষ করে যারা পাওয়ার স্টেশন, পাওয়ার ডিস্ট্রিবিউশন, পাওয়ার ট্রান্সমিশন সেক্টরে চাকরি করি এবং শিল্পকারখানা ও আবাসিক এলাকায় বিদ্যুৎ সংযোগ দিয়ে থাকি তাদের বৈদ্যুতিক তার তথা ক্যাবলের প্রকৃতি, বিদ্যুৎ পরিবহন ক্ষমতা, ইনসুলেশন লেভেল ইত্যাদি বিষয়ে ভালোভাবে জানা থাকা আবশ্যক। ক্যাবলের গায়ে লেখা কোড গুলো দেশীয় এবং আন্তর্জাতিক কিছু স্ট্যান্ডার্ড মেনে করা হয়। আসুন আমরা কিছু কোডের সাথে পরিচিত হই।

নিচের ছবিতে আমরা একটি মাল্টিকোর কপার ক্যাবল দেখতে পাচ্ছি:

         1 = Annealed copper

         2 = PVC insulation

         3 = PVC inner sheathed

         4 = Gray PVC outer sheathed

*এটি একটি BYM type ক্যাবল। কিভাবে বুঝলাম? আসুন আলোচনা করা যাক।

B = As per BDS 900, BS 6004 Standard

Y = Insulated and sheathed of thermoplastic based on PVC poly Vinyl chloride

M = Sheathed cable as per BS 6004

উপরের ছবিতে দেখা যাচ্ছে, ক্যাবলটিতে তিনটি কোর আছে। কোর তিনটি সলিড না অর্থ্যাৎ অনেকগুলো কপার তারের সমষ্টি, বাংলায় এদেরকে খেই বলে। এধরনের ক্যাবলকে RM ক্যাবল বলা হয়। কোর তিনটির যথাক্রমে হলুদ, খয়েড়ী ও ধূসর রঙ্গের ইনসুলেশন রয়েছে এবং তাদেরকে ঘিরে আছে কালো রঙ্গের আরেকটি ইনসুলেশন, দেখুন এটি Y কোডের পরিচিতির সাথে মিলে গেছে।

তারপর ক্যাবলটির একেবারে বাইরের দিকে হালকা ছাই রঙ্গের আরেকটি ইনসুলেশন রয়েছে। যা পুরো ক্যাবলটিকে চাদরের মত জড়িয়ে আছে, এটাই হলো কোড M। আশা করি পুরো ব্যাপারটা বুঝা গেছে।
